This is ALWAYS a progressive blog: Feminism, equality, LGBTQ rights, pro-choice, pro worker’s rights, pro-union, anti-racist, pro cultural APPRECIATION (not appropriation). 

And this is a body positive blog. Fat, skinny, light, dark, and every shade in between, short, tall, tattooed, pierced, or blank canvas. Long hair, no hair, all of the makeup, or clean faced.  Your body should be celebrated no matter what it looks like, or how you choose to adorn it. 

I don’t really belong to any fandoms, but I do post random things I find funny or interesting.

I make text posts.

Ignorance is not bliss…

The CEO of Yum! Brands, David C. Novak, is a member of the Southeast Christian Church who says they love homosexuals but want to help them in “overcoming unwanted same-sex attraction” .

Yum! Brands owns Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC, A&W and Long John Silvers. 

Novak has also donated money to several Republican candidates including Eric Cantor and Rand Paul. 

For those of us who have been boycotting Chick-Fil-A (some since 2009, some since just this summer) for Truett Cathy’s political donations, shouldn’t we consider where our dining dollars are going in other instances?

Oh, and if you’re seeking an alternative to Pizza Hut, the founder of Domino’s, Tom Monaghan, is the same man who built the Catholic city in Florida , funds many anti-choice and anti-gay groups and has been evil much longer than just about any of the other fast food folks. Domino’s is currently owned by Bain Capital. Yup, that Bain Capital.

And Papa John’s? Their CEO held a fundraiser for Mitt Romney, donating $3 million to the Romney campaign. John Schnatter is also a vocal opponent of Obamacare and has said he will raise prices at his restaurants to cover the cost of providing employees with insurance. 

This isn’t a comprehensive analysis of all restaurants and where their profits go, but with some basic google searches you can find ALL of this information and more. 

I’m not calling for a comprehensive boycott, I just wish people knew a little bit more about where their money goes and what it funds.
