I am thankful—
Because my Crohn’s is behaving. The Cimzia seems to be working.
I have horrible allergies that seem to be migrating into my chest, but that’s still better than nausea and feeling like I’m being stabbed in the intestines.
I’m thankful because even though I was sniffling and sneezing, I got to spend 3 nights with J and I didn’t have to take anti-nausea medication to get through the days.
And — I’m glad he’s a gamer. I’m glad he has a hobby that gives him something to do for significant stretches of time. Despite the remission, I’m still tired most of the time. But if he’s playing Diablo 3 for four hours, I can nap on the couch and not worry that he’s going to get bored or want to go hiking.
But please, someone remind me not to lay on the floor to play with the cats. My hip hates me, and I’m sure it’s entirely my fault.
Everything can’t be perfect, but hey, at least I can eat solid foods and spend several nights away from home without being worried about medical disasters…
